My first model train - Prussian train before 1920 (Fleischmann)

It is a limited edition Prussian model train made by Fleischmann in Germany. I bought it on 25/12/1994 as a Christmas gift for myself.

The difference between this limited edition Prussian train and 4154 model train are as follows:

1)
-This Prussian train was manufactured and running before 1920.
-Train 4154 was manufactured and running from 1920 to 1954.

2)
-This Prussian train was in Green colour,
-Train 4154 was in black colour.

3)
-This Prussian train had an eagle with letters " K.P.E.V " as a logo outside the driver's
cabin.
-Train 4154 did not has a logo outside the driver's cabin, only a group of numbers was
displayed.

Following description on Model 4154 is extracted from Fleischmann catolog - 1995/96 GB:

" The Prussian G8_1, Class 55_25_56 was a very important class of loco on the former Deutsche Reichsbahn. Goods trains and heavy shunnting duties were their main domain. Even the Bundesbahn counld not do without the G8's for a long time. The prototype of our model comes from the later style of construction (from 1915) typified by the feed valves situated between the raised sandbox and steam dome."

A birthday/ Lunar New Year gift from my wife on 24/2/2007

Today , 24/2/2007, is the seventh day in year of pig. It is also the birthday of everybody therefore I have a gift from my wife.

It is a pair of Timberland hiking shoes. The model is " Ecostep". It means that the New Vibram " Ecostep" soles are made with 30% of recycled material.

She bought it from Sincere department store. It is 40% off (HK$1190 -à HK$714). It is very comfortable.

Today, there are so many people shopping in department store but in the past, we used to purchase new clothes, shoes before the Lunar New Year. Nowadays, most of us do not think like, for instance, everyday/any day can be a birthday. We can do anything on any day we want. There is no need to do it on a specific day.

P.S.

This pair of shoes is retired at May 2013. The aging of the shoe is speed-up as I always wear it while plouging in PL monastery in rainy day, therefor the wet soil pull the bottom out of the shoe little by little in different rainy day. At last the bottom of the shoe dropped out from the shoe.

A special car I saw on 25/2/2007

Today, Sunday afternoon,when I nearly finished my walk in Quarry Bay near Jusco department store, a special car attracted my eye sight therefore I went straight forward to it with my camera on hand.

After I took two shots in front of the car, the owner went out of the car and smiled to me. I asked him whether I could carry on, he said that "please carry on".

I tell him that it was quite special, I have not seen it before in Hong Kong. he told me that it was ordered directly from USA by himself. It costed around HK$1xxxxx.

He also invited me to take a shot on the interior.

When I went to its back and took a close-up on its Logo, Oh Chrysler displayed inthe viewfinder.

It is limited edition, therefore, I think it is the new edition of the classic model in the past.

The Sheung Wan tram terminal is located at the west end of the north coast of Hong Kong Island.

The tram is only running along the north coast of Hong Kong Island.

Lion Dance 19/2/2007

Today is the second day of the Chinese Lunar Year of pig.

A lion's visit can bring us good fortune in this year, therefore you can see Lion Dance appears everywhere during Chinese Lunar New Year.

The Lion Dance finished after the picking of the red envelope tired on a lettuce. There is some fortune money inside the red envelope or a good fortune words written on a red paper.

The red envelope with Lettuce is hung to two men's height, The lion can pick the red envelope when the man in the front of the lion has to stand on the shoulder of the man at the rear of the lion.
