first bite of a beetroot in this year

This beetroot was picked on 23rd Dec. 2007. I wrapped it up with a plastic bag and put inside the refrigarator. Today prepare to steam it and find that it is still fresh. the leaves are still in green colour.
I cut it into slices, steam 30 minutes, add oliver oil, black vinegar........
um.....um...um..... Vow!.....Sweet......Taste is good. The beetroot leaves are so soft.
