Art Talents Pop Up!
An interactive cross-media language and visual arts programme, this creative programme inspires young people to express themselves through different art forms.
Launched in 2009 by Swire Organisation for Youth Arts under the theme ‘Art Talents Pop Up! Poemography Exp.’, the programme targets secondary school students of Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai and encouraging them to express themselves creatively through photography and poetry. Students are encouraged to explore the boundaries of the two art forms and subsequently express what they perceive and feel through their own artistic creation. The programme also provides students a cross-border exchange opportunity with professional and renowned photographers, poets and architect from Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
A series of workshops held by professional and renowned artists are organised to promote appreciation of the two aesthetic disciplines. A cross-border competition follows in which students submit their artistic works under a designated theme, culminating with a travelling exhibition of the award-winning works in the three cities.
