My Nikon Coolpix 8700 is malfunction

My Nikon 8700 camera was malfunction when the Flower 2007 photo diary was nearly completed at around 16:45 19/3/2007. I sent it to Nikon Service Centre on Tuesday 20/3/2007.
The symptom is that scanning lines on the photo makes it unclear.
Lucky : I have already taken photos in Flower 2007
unlucky : I will have a vacation starting on 28/3/2007 therefore I need a camera.
