家庭菜園 - 北角 - 向日葵 ( sunflower )

The sunflower seeds come from Canada. The flower can reach to 12 inches diameter in maximum.
I can imagine how marvelous it is, if the sunflowers are full of a field, like the size of a soccer field.
We planted eight numbers of sunflower. After the blowing of strong wind, only three of them were left behind.
I could not see it growing into a 12 inches flower as I had to return this field back to the owner in few days.
We only have 4 months time for planting. the schedule in a year is as follow:
4 months for planting ---> 2 months for pest control and maintenance ---> 4 months for planting, ---> 2 months for pest control and maintenance.

家庭菜園 - 大埔 - 荔椿 ( Tessaratoma papillosa )

I found it on the Laichee tree years ago. It can eject high concentrated acidic liquid for protecting itself. The liquid can make our eyes blind or skin erosion.
它名叫荔椿.
It's name: Tessaratoma papillosa
荔枝椿象食性複雜，危害作物包括荔枝、龍眼、柑桔、橄欖、鳥欖、香蕉、金桔、檸檬、咖啡、柚、桃、梅、梨、黃皮果、檬果、板栗等20種以上果樹；其中以荔枝、龍眼受害最為嚴重。被害部位以果實、花及莖部為主
防治方法
(1) 物理防治
(2) 生物防治
(3) 化學防治

家庭菜園 (family garden) - 大埔 - 交尾 (copulate)

One has 4 or 5mm lenght.

蒼蠅的體長是 8mm.
它們在角力中.
我本來是看不見蜘蛛的.我拍了蒼蠅的照片後,才發現有蜘蛛與它角力中.真是幸運.
The fly is approximately 8mm lenght.
A spider and a fly were doing a wrestling contest.
I did not see the spider at first sight. I only found it when I reviewed the photo on camera LCD display.
那一方會勝出 ? Please tell me your guess. which side win?
1) 蒼蠅 ( fly)
2)蜘蛛 ( spider )
