羽化失敗的蝴蝶(Eclosion failure of the butterfly) Feb. 12 2012

After returning from Zen 7 in Taiwan on Saturday, Feburary 11 2012, I would like to take some closeup on this eclosion failure of the butterfly which I met it in Tai Tam Reservoir Road near Tai Tam Upper Reservoir on January 29 2012.

a mantis goes diving(螳螂去潛水) Sept. 2011

Several hikers took some photos on a mantis. It was standing on the side of a rock near a small stream.
When it was my turn to take photos on it, It went under the rock and finally fell into the stream water.
Some hikers said that we should give it a hand.
So I picked up a small dried stick and helped it to leave the stream water.
It was very difficult to pull it out from the water.
It looked like it was trapped by something.

I worried it was drown.
Therefore I spent much more power, at last,most of its body was outside the rock, and its head emerged out of the stream water.

At this moment, I know that it was not an accident. it jumpped into the stream water to hide itself from our photo taking.

finally, it was drifting with the stream water.

I do not know whether it was an accident or its choice ...

It was starting to drift away ... ... Sorry! Mantis,perhaps I was so close to take photos on you so you scared and jumped into the stream.

Hope you are safe in drifting stream water ...
Thanks Ching to show me this mantis so that I have taken these photos - a mantis was diving.

I saw eleven Mapwing butterflies flying along the Tai Tam Reservoir Road from Tai Fung Au to Tai Tam Reservoir Upper Dam, June 12 2011.
