酒樽椰子/酒瓶椰子(Bottle Palm)

學 名： Hyophorbe lagenicaulis Mart.
科 名： 棕櫚科(Palmae)酒瓶椰子屬(Hyophorbe)
別 名： 德利椰子、Bottle Palm。
特 徵： 單幹，地表處較細，在此以上漸次粗大，最大處直徑38～60㎝，再往上去又漸漸變細。
羽狀複葉，小葉40～60對，披針形，長45㎝左右；
基部不隆腫或稍隆起，淡綠色，葉鞘圓筒形，葉柄長30～45㎝。種子橢圓形，長1.04～1.45㎝。
分 布： 原產毛裡斯島及馬達加斯加
校園芳蹤： 商學大樓西側，社科大樓西側。
用 途： 酒瓶椰子生長緩慢，幹型特殊，宛如日本酒瓶，乃稱之酒瓶椰子。栽培觀賞，適庭院、公園，亦適盆栽。

    Sorry for reply you late !
    It grows near a cement path in Mid Level near the Peak in Hong Kong Island.
    The length of the flower is 8 or 10 mm.
    The plant is approximately 40cm height.

  2) follow the route indicator to Ngong Ping - your finishing point if when want to go to Po Lon Monsatery.
  3) do check the bus timetable from the blog attached(two types of timetable, Sunday or Mon. to Sat.)
  4) don't forget to ask hikers on the way to make sure you are in the right direction.
  5) bring along with you a map of country park in Lantau Island issued by HK gov't.
